50 hr yin yoga & meditation teacher training
Autumn 2026 | 6-Day Immersion
A return to stillness, rhythm and the intelligence of nature
This 50-hour Yin Yoga & Meditation Training is an immersive, in-person experience rooted in the principles of Yin Yoga, functional anatomy and Daoist philosophy.
Guided by the understanding that the body is not something to control, but something to listen to, this training explores Yin as a practice of attunement; to the body, the breath and the natural cycles that shape how we move, feel and teach.
Held over 6 days in Autumn 2026, this immersion invites you to step out of striving and into a more sustainable, intuitive approach to practice and teaching.
Why Yin and why Autumn?
In Daoist philosophy, life is understood as a continuous interplay between yin and yang—effort and ease, activity and rest, expansion and return.
Autumn marks the shift from outward expression (yang) toward inward reflection (yin). It is the season of letting go, refining what is essential, and releasing what is no longer needed. Yin Yoga mirrors this process, supporting:
The descending and consolidating energy of the season
The health of the Lung and Large Intestine meridians (associated with release and boundaries)
A deeper relationship with breath, grief, and emotional processing
The cultivation of wu wei—effortless action, or doing less with greater awareness
This training is intentionally placed in Autumn to align your learning with the rhythms of nature, rather than working against them.
Who This Training is For
This course is designed for teachers and advanced practitioners who are ready to move beyond choreography and into understanding:
Yoga teachers seeking to teach from insight rather than scripts
Practitioners drawn to slower, introspective, energetically informed practices
Those interested in integrating Daoist philosophy, modern anatomy, and neurobiomechanics
Teachers wanting to develop a more trauma-aware, inclusive, and responsive approach
Anyone ready to explore the balance between structure and surrender
What You Will Learn
This training goes far beyond postures into the deeper question: how do we work with the body, rather than on it?
You will explore:
Yin Yoga principles through a Daoist lens
Yin and Yang theory applied to movement, energy and teaching
Functional anatomy: skeletal variation, tissue adaptation and fascia in long-held postures
Nervous system-informed teaching: regulation, student response, and choice-led practice
Trauma-aware language, pacing and presence
Meridian theory, the Five Elements and their seasonal and emotional associations
Sequencing that reflects natural cycles, energetic balance and functional bodies
Integrating meditation practices that support stillness, awareness, and embodiment
By the end, you will confidently teach Yin classes that are adaptable, inclusive, and grounded in both science and philosophy.
